  2. Within the administrator command prompt window type: mklink 'steamappscommonJust Causesteam.dll' 'steam.dll'

(Substitute to the full pathname to your Steam library.)

Crash if Windows key is pressed[edit]

This game has been known to crash or become unresponsive on a press of the Windows key.
[citation needed]

Use the /windowedcommand line argument.

Shadow bug with newer video cards[edit]

A bug with newer Nvidia drivers where a shadow endlessly follows you around the game world.
Use Just Cause Widescreen fix[3]
Use shadow fix[4]
  1. Download Just Cause Shadow Fix. Alternate download
  2. Put JustCause.exe in the installation folder.

Movement glitch[edit]

When moving, the graphics seem smooth, but Rico is alternating between a 'fast' and a 'slow' speed. This is likely caused by an unstable frame rate while above 60 FPS.
