One question a lot of people ask is 'What is the best planet order for Kotor 2?' Well, while this mainly depends on your playstyle, there is one order that makes a lot of sense strategically and storywise.
There are a few spoilers ahead so consider yourself warned.

That said, you would run to the HK-51s side, terminate production, and then go to the factory terminal to finally shut down the whole thing. Completing this planet next is crucial because you can get another companion, Mandalore.
It's important to get all of the possible companions early so you can maximize your influence and interactions with them throughout the rest of the game.
How fast you finish the jungle moon also influences how fast you get the follow-up mission later in the game.
Between Nar Shaddaa and Dxun, the player unlocks a lot of content and companion possibilities.
3. Dantooine
Dantooine is where the player gets a special, character-specific crystal for their lightsaber. It's a huge upgrade for the player's damage and abilities.

4. Onderon Part 2
While there is not much for the player to gain here, it is useful to get as high a level as you can for the upcoming fights on Korriban and the eventual final fight.
5. Korriban
Korriban is, in my opinion, best saved for last. With the return of Darth Sion and the hallucination caves, the storyline really starts hitting its climax right before the ultimate final ending.
Dantooine, Onderon Part 2, and Korriban are better saved for the final planets as they help expand upon the exile's past and the plot of the game.
Onderon Part 2 really reveals the sith and Korriban is a great final way to begin the final part of the game.
However, it should be noted that Onderon Part 2 and Korriban can be switched if the player feels that the civil war is a better lead up to the final planet.
